Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots

With summer vacation upon us once again, Sony is looking to make the ever-growing library of PlayStation 3 games all the more tempting to the soon-to-be vegetative masses. Today, the video game developer, publisher and console maker announced (via the PlayStation Blog) that several new titles will be added to its Greatest Hits line - a collection of hideously-boxed, but budget priced games - come June 16th.

Featuring six new games, such first-party efforts as Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction and Gran Turismo 5 Prologue will now fly under the banner. On the third-party side of things, Konami's Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, Capcom's Devil May Cry 4 and Electronic Arts' Army of Two and Battlefield: Bad Company will also be added. As before, each title will soon be priced at $29.99.

Oddly, and much to the chagrin of many gamers, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune has still not been added to the roster, and now would have been the perfect time given the impending release of its sequel, Among Thieves. However, past Greatest Hits titles include Assassin's Creed, Motorstorm, Resistance: Fall of Man, Warhawk and a number of other popular games.
