Untold Legends: Dark Kingdom Front of Box

Now here's a PS3-related story we can probably all agree is not a bad thing. As you can see to the left (unless you have images blocked or something), Sony Online Entertainment has released the first official PlayStation 3 box art in the form of the front of the box for Untold Legends: Dark Kingdom.

In addition to proving that sex does indeed sell (even in virtual form), it sports a slick look that's perfect for the high-end PS3. While we obviously want to see the spine (unless the "PlayStation 3" along the left-hand side is actually the spine, which is doubtful given the game's title usually goes there) and back of the box before passing final judgment, our guess is that the back will fall in line with the general design of the PlayStation 2 (catchy phrase at the top, screens and feature list in the middle, nitty-gritty info at the bottom).

If the image is real, we may see the xbox live nemesis name, for the first time

The image is definitely real, since I pulled it straight off of SOE's press site myself.

Majora, if you can truly produce better box art than that I'd *love* to see it. I think it's pretty good (albeit a little cheesy) myself.

Has anyone else not noticed that the art is not DVD sized? Just what kind of boxes are PS3 games coming in?

Blu-ray cases are almost an inch shorter than standard DVD cases (6.75" vs. 7.5"). They're also a little thinner (11mm vs. 15mm) and feature rounded corners.
