Long-needed improvements finally available.
Sony announced today that it has released the new and improved PlayStation Store for PlayStation 3. The overhauled interface is streamlined, with snappier response times and a more hierarchical layout with fewer top-level categories. Other new features include streaming trailers, improved search (very much improved in our initial tests), and new filter and sort options.
The update is mandatory and reasonably small at just 26 MB, you’ll be prompted to upgrade the next time you launch the PlayStation Store if you haven’t upgraded already. The PlayStation Store on both Vita and PSP remain unchanged.
